MegaTone Amps WEZO ME18 Update
Our WEZO ME-18 harp amp has been redesigned with a new chassis and some other cabinet color options. The website will be updated soon, but I want to give you guys a pre-press release description about some of the changes that have been made in this new version of our most popular amp.
The first thing you notice from the outside is that we have made the control panel more ergonomic by flipping it around so it can be read from the front of the amp, and that the control panel has also gotten a face-lift, and has a striking brushed silver finish with black engraved lettering.
While the control features have not changed, we now include the half power switch as standard equipment. The anti-feedback (Pad control) circuit operates over a wider range, the power supply has been improved to reduce background noise even more, and the input circuit now works much better with crystal and other high impedance microphones.
Cabinet color options for 2014 now includes a new red (on the sides) and cream (down the middle), along with coco and cream or black and cream. The very popular dark green gator Tolex is unfortunately no longer being manufactured and is no longer available.
Speaker options have also changed, as we will be featuring Jensen Jet Tornados exclusively in our 2 x 10 combo and single ten compact combo. The 10/12 Eminence speakers used in the past have very large ceramic magnets, and while we love their full frequency response, they are very heavy and were prone to shipping damage when dropped really hard.
Even though we will not be a part of this special Master Class, I am offering a show special of $100 off the sale of any MegaTone amp from now until the end of April (available to all Blues Harmonica members). Our website (megatoneamps.com) will be updated in a few weeks with new pictures and other information but feel free to contact me if you want to see pictures or have any questions.
Sorry to hear about the problems Dale. Unfortunate that only folks in the USA will have the ability to purchase your great gear.
Cheers.
J.D.
Hi Dale
I'm sorry to hear about your problems too and agree with J D that people in the UK are going to miss out on your amps. My Wezo ME 18 sounds brilliant and only last Saturday at a gig on Bexhill on Sea seafront (East Sussex UK) a guy called Ed asked me where I got my 'great sounding amp'. I told him about your website etc ...
Thanks again though because I have had so much fun in the last year using my ME 18.
all the best Ian (Hastings UK)
The logistics required to ship our products internationally, and the ability to cope with credit card fraud and damage claims, has proven to be too much for our modest operation. Effective immediately, we we only be shipping Megatone products to addresses in the United States. We regret that this policy is necessary, as we have met so many nice people from around the world.
