Mic cupping...hidden secrets`
Hello David,
I am practising using my mic .. even when not using an amp. I am finding it hard to get an airtight cup.
More importand though.. after watching your videos..i cant see how your lips are on the harp..with the harp up against your face to block the holes.
I find that to use a pucker you have to hold the harp farther away from you face and as you go up your face gets farther and farther away which really makes big gaps appear between the harp and your cup.
Using the TB method the face can stay closer but trying to bend some of the harder notes i have to switch to the pucker to get better control and again lose air tightness.
Do you have to pucker sideways? all the good stuff is hidden behind your hands in the videos.
Thank you!
Steve
Hi,
good topic!!!
with TB i push very deep the harp with the left corner of the harmonica in my my mout.....this is exaggerated?
Yes, you're correct... lean the harp towards the right side of your face. Tilting the harmonica will allow you to place the harmonica deeper in your mouth (single holes is more directed to bottom lip).
