Mini recording studio
Hi David,
While going back and reviewing some of your lessons, in this case, "Recording 1" you use the iphone, itunes, ASD as a mini studio which is great for me given that I am retired, 72, and enjoying "playing around" with various set ups as a hobby.
Since your classroom the technology has somewhat changed e.g. Itunes is now Apple Music and given that I have a PC is somewhat limited.
So, for a low-budget recording and "dabbling" desktop would you still use the iphone, itunes and ASD system or is there a more modern system to use for the likes of me? I see there are some tweak options like Audacity,VLC, Spotify (of which I see is no longer sync'd to ASD).
Thanks
Inky
Hey Inky. Yeah, I still use the same setup.
I think a phone memo app is still the easiest way to record for self-assessment and submitting to me for review.
As for iTunes... that's just a place to organize your music. When I burned all of my CDs to my computer, that's just what was available for the computer, so I stick with it. Having folders for your music can be just fine too... whatever app or system that's convenient for you works.
I still use ASD every day... it's a great, and simple, program.
I don't personally use any streaming services... I prefer to own my music and do with it what I wish.
