Dave in LOA #5 , Solo Harmonica Study #3, Ex 1.5 you refer to the 3rd line as beginning with the 5 chord with note D being played sinultaneously an octave apart. Why couldnt you refer to this as a 1 chord as well as it too contains the note D? Im just expressing my ignorance of music theory here.
Hello Baruch. The band is playing a V7 Chord there, so everything you play, by default, is relative to the V7 Chord. You are correct that the I7 Chord and V7 Chord have that common tone D, it's a nice thing to remember (you could be playing a 4 draw for example in Bar 8 and keep holding that note through Bar 9, it's a cool effect).
