Music Theory Study 2
Hey David,
I've just finished the lesson and I learned a lot.
Just a few remarks about the pdf document:
- In EX. 1.1, 3.2 and 4.2, you inverted the order of lines Ab and Eb in the wording. It's Ok in the completed exercise.
- In Ex. 4.5, I think that 8'+ is a b5th and not a 4th.
All the best,
Eddy
Hi David,
Ex4.1:
To avoid confusion the fat line should be drawn between de 2nd & 3rd scale degree.
(As I understand correctly and referring to answer 4.1 we're completing this table using the Dorian Mode scale?)
Answer 3.5:
3''' & 6' should be flat 5th's
Enjoying your music theory lessons very much!!
Great, thanks.
2 corrections answer 6.3 - last line:
2nd note should be a 3rd (B/3rd/7/3)
9th note: the top 2 should be a G (G/1st/6+/2)
=-=-=
This exercise confused me:
Should I do a 1-to-1 transpose from major to major or a major to (2nd pos) mixolydian (as we did in section 2)..
Playing the transposed song and looking at the answer made it clear.
Wonderful, thanks for that. I just made the changes and amended the assignment to make it more clear.
Thank you very much Eddy... changes just made. Please keep the edits coming... these PDFs are huge and I'm bound to miss some things. Thanks!
