I have about an hour a day in chunks the bigest being at the end of my day for a half hour straight through...was just needing some direction as i feel my progress has suffered as a result thanks
1) Work on technique for 10m - Slaps and flutters for example
2) Work on a song for 30m - This places the technique you're focusing on into context ("Temperature" Tongue Blocking Study 2 for example), helps to develop lick vocabulary and movement.
3) Place what you learn info context 20m - Take the lick(s) out of the song passage you're working on that night and play them to a jam track... applying the chorus forms (play the lick as AAA, AAB, AAA with fills, etc.). This is practicing for success.
Your focus will change from time to time depending on what's on your plate, but this is the magic ratio to master the blues harp.
