New
Good evening David,
I am sending a quick message to introduce myself. My name is Richard. What got me interested in the harmonica was a song by Zack Williams, Empty Grave. I just recieved my very first harmonica this evening on 25APR2020. Excited to start, I listeded to the introduction video on home page. The video provide me good direction.
I want to confirm, for brand new players with absolutely no experience, the best place to start is located in the tab above, Levels of Achievement, and click on beginner level 1?
I apperciate your guidance and I am looking forward to developing my skills. Thanks again.
Richard
Hello Richard, welcome to the site.
You're correct, Levels of Achievement will help you navigate your lessons.
As a beginner, you’ll start with Blues Harmonica Fundamentals (https://www.bluesharmonica.com/lessons/blues_harmonica_fundamentals). After this lesson you’ll move on to studying two lessons at the same time… Tongue Block Study 1 (https://www.bluesharmonica.com/lessons/tongue_blocking_1) and Solo Harmonica Study 1 (https://www.bluesharmonica.com/lessons/solo_study_1).
As you work through your lessons, you can also watch two beginning students on camera work through the same material with me. These students are Sharon Barrett (https://www.bluesharmonica.com/contributor/sharon-barrett) and Hob Bosold (https://www.bluesharmonica.com/contributor/hob_bosold). You’ll find their questions, and my answers to their questions, helpful in your studies as well.
If you have any questions during your studies, feel free to ask any of the experts on the forum https://www.bluesharmonica.com/forum
Best wishes on your studies.
