New compilation album: Hootmatic Blues 2020
Hi,
I had the great pleasure of developing an album with Tom Walbank and Joe Filisko over the lockdown period.
We had so many great artists join in, I'm still in shock! I'm on tracks 3 and 7 Specifically.
Album is available on the link below!

Album detail:
This album started off as a wanting to connect. We had the idea to record a song in the style of Sonny Terry, but using three harmonica players in the style of Elder Roma Wilson and his sons. Tom Walbank contacted Joe Filisko, one of the leading pre world war 2 harp players in the world and also Gareth Tucker, an English harp player who although less well known than Joe,is also world class. We recorded the title track and it was such a success I started contacting every harp player we admired. Phil Wiggins blessed us with two tracks as did Marco Pandolfi. The idea was, if you contributed a song, you got the finished album, to sell either digitally or to print as cds etc. A way to make cash for all the artists in the simplest way possible. Some players didn’t respond and some did but couldn’t find time to contribute. I understood and was grateful for their time. The whole concept of being a musician in the Covid era has been turned on its head. Muddy Waters’ old harp player Paul Oscher joined the project adding star power and a killer track as did Aki Kumar snd Andrew Alli, both representing the new generation of knockout players. Bob Corritore, Charles Pasi, Quim Roca and a handful of incredible guitarists round out this dream project.
I purchased the album today. First listen I believe I heard some techniques I'm not familiar with yet. Look forward to listening some more.
Thanks for letting us know aobut this album.
