Newbie only scores a C

Hi Dave,
Loving this course.
New here and just bought a budget C. Is it possible to improvise till I find a budget A?
Also I'm working mainly with one hand so I was wondering which key and which pro harmonica is best overall to use to get that same kind of bluesy, dark tone that you make using the 'wah' technique without losing too much bright? At least until I can get all the keys.
Thanks!
Welcome to the site Rawley.
There is an intro lesson for those with only the C Harmonica, and it's found here http://www.bluesharmonica.com/lessons/c_harmonica_intro_lesson.
After this lesson, if you decide to continue, you'll need to pick up an A Harmonica (this C Harmonica study will keep you busy for 2-3 months, so there's no hurry).
The C harmonica is good in regards to tone, going down to the G (from low to high, G, A, Bb, C, and D is a common set of harmonicas). I think you'll like the A a lot.
In regards to a Wa Wa effect with one hand, head tone variation and dips (bending) will be taught as you progress, and mimic the sound of the Wa well.
Best wishes on your studies.
