Not lost in translation
I recently read an ad for a harmonica model produced by a company based in a country in which English is clearly not the first language. There were some technical translation issues that in context were fairly easy to figure out. And then there was this gem: "Unlike other instruments, harmonica is small, light, and simple to carry. If you carry it with you in your bag, you can see your own small harmonica concert hall anytime, anywhere."
Love the image! When I look at any of my harps in a bag (be it suitcase, gig carry-case, backpack, or pants pocket) I see a wonderfully noisy blues club. With lots of dancers. And I am thankful that with limited bag space, I'm not a drummer. Or a bass player. Or have to pack a Hammond B3 organ.
So what do you see when you look into your bag and spot one of your harmonicas?
I find it in my pocket, in my car, in the music room, at the club, in my office - when i see it, I practice, and I have peace wherever I am, learning and being happy, because I have a harp, takes lifes stress away for me !!!
