Octave bends and intonation beating

While working on The Strut and doing the 1 4 draw octave I'm noticing that it's possible (though difficult) to bend both draws, as well as get a crazy psychedelic intonation related beating if you bend one slightly out of tune with the other. Obviously, working on level four, there are tons of things I could prioritize practicing, but it was a fun distraction. Are these useful techniques moving forward that I might revisit and keep in my back pocket?
Hello TylerWyler. Yeah, in my experience (I haven't done it much, it's a very rare technique), you can bend just slightly when they're an octave. When they're not, it's even cooler... like 2 draw/5 draw. You tune your mouth to the 2 draw and you can bend it down for effect, or even go down to F, so that it matches the 5 draw (so you now have an octave). This also works for the 3" draw/6 draw.. I have heard this a couple of times... once was Buddy Greene and the other was Todd Parrott. Yeah, this is a fun distraction... see what you can do with it, but it's in now way a common technique.
