Overblows

I'm having trouble with controlling the the +10" Bb note on the harmonica. I want to get better at scaling all across the harmonica, but I'm having trouble with consistency. What is a good technique as far as tongue placement to help me control that overblow?
Hello chamberlainseth30. What you're speaking of is a blow bend (overblows are a different thing... reference Bending Study 7). The key element is making sure you're using the very front of the tongue, far forward in your mouth. The chamber in the front of your mouth will be VERY small (as small as a pea). I have a lesson on blow bending, and it can be found here: https://www.bluesharmonica.com/lessons/bending_study_level_6
