Hi, thanks for the vis about custom, they were great.
my question is. If I do everything of the vid, like gap, and etc, Is that enough for the over/blows/draws?
In an harmonica I adjust the gap some time ago I canto do them on the 4,5 6, 7 holes, but not in the rest. Do you think it will be enough to get them.
I case that is no t enough, what else should I do?
Thanks alot for your time. :)
Setting up a harmonica for "overblow" playing is important; however, your playing technique is paramount. Having written that ... you can still "test" your progress by removing the coverplates, exposing the BLOW reeds, then at the precise moment of executing the overblow bend--cover the sympathetic reed (slot) with your finger.
For example, on a C harmonica, you would cover the #6 BLOW reed (G), then the #6 DRAW reed will play at one half step higher in pitch, from A to A# (which is Bb).
I would also strongly recommend you reaching out to our resident OB expert, Ross Garrans on this FORUM "Ask Over Bend Expert Ross Garrans".
