Question About Harmonica Position - Front - To The Side
I am playing Take It Easy Now. I have a JT30 microsphone and have adapted my position of the harmonica from a front of mouth acoustic position, or what I have been doing to the right cheek area that you show in your lesson about microphone technique.
I have found out to my surprise that I am bending those first bends and notes hugely better. I am using the bendometer and I am almost there.
Off hand do you know why this is happening? I am still tongue blocking with my tongue to the left and the hole sounding to the right. I am getting at least a 1/2 step more bend and I can dip all the way down on the 4th hole.
Just curious if you know what might be going on. I am excited about the intermediate lessons.

This just means that your tongue/mouth position favors bending in this position... nothing more. You can perform bending techniques well in any of these position over time. I'm glad you find it easier... that's a bonus!
