Question about LoA3
I posted this question in General Discussion Forum for people who recently passed LoA3, and then realized that I could ask David directly in this section, and who better to give the answer to me than the creator of the course.
I am prepping for the LoA3 level. I feel pretty good about my study song performance (Feeling for the Blues) and the Solo Harmonica Study as well, but I’m facing a dilemma with the Accompaniment part. What the test requires is fairly achievable for someone at my level. However, the study song in this section (Blues Creepin' Over Me) feels a bit overwhelming at the moment. I think I can conquer it, but it might take several weeks or a couple of months, depending on how much time I devote to it. I have already spent 2 good months on this level.
Here’s my question:
This song is not part of the LoA test. Did BluesHarmonica School intend for us at LoA3 to master this song before moving forward, or is it something we’re just meant to get a taste of—something we’ll eventually need to get under our belts and return to more seriously at a higher level? I know it's mentioned in one of the videos that we’ll revisit this song later.
Thanks a lot
Hello kvladdan. You're correct, you don't have to master this song for the test, or before moving on. If you like it... it inspires you to learn... then go for it, it's at your level. If you're more interested in more challenging material, then move on.
