Seydel session steel
Hi Kinya what do you think of the new Seydel session steel harmonica.
Thanks Ron
The Session Steel is Seydel's answer to the 1847 Sliver+ that was recently discontinued. Both models have the Special 20 style recessed cover plates that so many people like. The Blues Session is a very popular harmonica because of this and has been from the out set of the revitalization of Seydel. However the Blues Session had brass reeds (which it still has) and comes in something like 200 tunings like it's more expensive Blues Favorite. Now Seydel is offering an introductory price for a "price point" stainless steel reed harmonica. The covers are recessed and they are full length vs. "boxcar" covers. Also the covers are not open in the back like the 1847 and they are not as heavy a stainless steel as the 1847 but they are stainless and they do have reinforcements to keep the covers from crushing. The real deal here is the stainless steel reeds... the same reeds you get in an 1847... the same tunings as an 1847 including down to a Low C... for the introductory price of $59.95. That's $30.00 less than an 1847. There's been a lot of negative talk about the orange comb however a black Blues Sessions comb can be had for $8.95. I'm glad to help anyone with their Seydel questions or needs. Thanks Kinya.
