Really nice groove
The chickin' pickin' keeps it bouncing, and the effect at the end is a great touch. Have you performed this in public, and if so, did everyone get up and dance?
chickin' pickin' groove
Yes, a good groove makes a big difference to bring out inspired playing , thank you :)
Haven't played this live yet, but when i do i hope to see the dance floor bouncing!
Thanks for the listen :)
Marty
Sounds Awesome!
Hope to get to that level some day.
funky (vocal?) effect
OoOps! Responded to Robs question in the wrong place! See below!
Awesome!
Welcome to the site Marty and what a fine submission you have shared with us! Very fluid playing with a great deal for us to learn from your track and what on earth was that funky (vocal?) effect towards the end? Very "devilish"!
That "funky (vocal?) effect"
Thanks Rob, much appreciated :)
That "funky (vocal?) effect" was me playing a wind synth (Yamaha WX-7), through an iPad softSynth (Thor Propllerhead). I wanted some other voices on the track to complement the chromatic harmonica.
Besides harmonica, I play jazz flute, but that doesn't fit in well with the blues guys, as a flute voicing isn't quite raunchy enough to fit the genre, so I stared experimenting wind synth sax voices. I couldn't find anything that was saxy enough, so I went for a vocal synth patch that had a little wah effect in it. I like it!
Haven't brought it on to the stage for jams or gigs yet. I favore the portability of my harps!
