Thank you for the detailed
Thank you for the detailed explanation Frank!I'm all set up with a laptop that I dedicate to music stuff, so I don't think I will use the GarageBand on my iPhone, but thank you for the offer!Best Regards, -Dave
Absolutely understandable.
Absolutely understandable. The best tool is the one you know how to use. Happy harping!!!! -Frank
Wow! That was great!
Hi Frank,
Great playing - very smooth and relaxing for sure. I love the tone of your Low F harp, and I'm amazed at the excellent sound quality you got from your iPhone and GarageBand. Did you use an external microphone or the native mic inside the iPhone?
Cheers! -Dave K.
Tone on iPhone garage band recording
Very kind, thanks Dave! For the recording I'm using a small device called iRig2 (around 30$). With the iRig2 I connect my Bulletini to the iPhone. The iRig2 also has a line out for headphones. In garage band I selected an amp, added another track for the jam track and started the recording. If you are interested I can provide you my garage band project for this song. That way you'll have my settings 1:1. The harp I'm playing is a Hohner Crossover Thunderbird.
Btw, instead of the iRig2 you can use just the headphones that come along with the iPhone and play acusticly. That way you also will get an ok tone (depending on the amp you choose).
