Solo Harmonica Study 1 question
I have a questions on Chording ex 1.2
When I do the 123 draw cord and move to the +234 blow cord, am I to do a tongue block on the 1 hole when blowing the +234 cord? I can get it to sound like your examples but just want to make sure I am learning the proper technique.
By the way I can tongue block single notes very well as I started learning that way. Just never really worked much on cords until now.
Thanks in advance.
sorry, for the topic - 1/2 holes used tongue bloc or just 2/5. When actually used tongue bloc. Thanks
Great. I'm glad you're enjoying the lessons Jim. Best wishes on your studies.
crossover, I'm note sure what you're asking, can you please clarify for me.
Hi David, Two-Note Combination apply blocking? How much holes to block "Slaps"?
Solo Harmonica Study 1
Ex. 2.2 – Shuffle 2
Thank you for the clarification.
Yes, two-note combinations should be tongue blocked as well. If you're playing 3 with 4, then you commonly block 1 and 2.
It's not as common to slap two-note combinations (they're most commonly dipped), but you absolutely can if you wish.
There are no two-note combinations in Solo Harmonica Study 1, Ex. 2.2 – Shuffle 2, just slaps and pulls (pulls are tough in Tongue Block Study 3).
Thank you, yet will I explore.
Hello Schook. No, just move your mouth over to play holes 2 through 4 (tongue stays off of the harmonics).
