Evening Paul. You're right, it is a very subtle technique, and can be very challenging to hear if you're doing it correctly. Get your Filisko Tongue Block Trainer out and check that you're doing it correctly in front of a mirror... this is the first step. The next step is try and match the sound I'm creating as closely as possible.
It would be nice if we could see everything that's happening in my mouth and yours, but unfortunately we can't... all I can do is explain what it is that creates the technique and then you do your best to match it with the tongue block trainer and what you hear.
