Solo Harmonica Study Level 1

Hi David! I'be got my first month under my belt and I am making progress. My question on the solo harmonica study is for example 1.5 and 1.6. Should I be tongue blocking the single notes or puckering? If it is tongue blocking, can you give me a tip around how to do it? When I try I end up blocking mos it the notes I am trying to play. Thanks!
Hello sgnl2nz. Yes, you are to tongue block the single notes.
Ex. 1.5 - When playing the 2+ 3+ 2+ lick... for the 2+ block hole 1 with your tongue, aiming your tongue to the left of hole 1, blocking both the wood to the left of hole 1 and hole 1 itself. When playing 3+ block holes 1 and 2 with your tongue.
Ex. 1.6 - When playing the 4+, block holes 1, 2 and 3 with your tongue.
Use a light touch... most likely you're pushing too hard on the face of the harmonica, causing your tongue to squish into the hole you're trying to leave open on the right.
