Solo Harp On YouTube
There are some really interesting harp videos recently posted on YouTube. Mostly solo harmonica, some with singing. Mostly old and rare ones.
There are about 15 of them as of this morning.
Go to youtube and look up DELTAKITTYCAT channel.

Thanks Jon - that is wonderful stuff he's got there!! I had no idea that kind of stuff was available. If I get serious about going in that direction, I'll certainly keep it in mind (already bookmarked). Hard to beat my $4.50 investment to date though for an initial spin into this style. I'll post something in the share section in a week or so so you can hear it. It is kind of fun and my wine box looks pretty cool and funky!!
Thanks Marcos - really good tip. Works right in to a project I'm working on.
Made myself a 'foot pedal' (found stomping on a board too tough). Its an old bass drum pedal. I had to do some minor fix up to get it working but that made it cheap (free pedal, $2.50 spring and bolting piece the music store pulled out of their used parts box) - enjoyment priceless!! The 'drum' is a wooden wine box (for magnums) with a sliding cover I could pull up slightly to attach the pedal. I aded a mouse pad to soften the sound and it works great for a solid beat to play with solo harmonica stuff.
Now you've given me some material I can work and build on!! Thanks again!
