Steve Baker Special
Hi David. I've got one of those low C Steve Baker Specials, and I was wondering if you are planning any lessons using that little tone monster? I love the sound of it but so far my imagination hasn't taken me very far with it.
I was laying in bed thinking about you this morning... all clean harmonica thoughts, I swear! ;-) Go to Solo Harmonica Study 2 and play Examples 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 and finally 1.5. Try it on a standard C harmonica first to get an idea of what you're going to copy, then grab your SBS... Play the chording on the lower three holes and play the melody on holes 4 and above. This is what the harmonica was built to do... exactly what it was built to do.
Thanks David, I'll get to work on that. For about the last ten years I've woke up with "Hey, Hey, We're the Monkees" playing in my head. Kinda creepy, but at least I go ahead and get out of bed pretty fast ya know?
That's a fun harmonica, but rarely used out there. I have no plans to do anything, but Steve Baker has agreed to be a contributor. Life has been a little too busy for him to get started on what it takes to contribute... but when it does happen I'll ask him to spend some time on it.
