Switchcraft 332A don´t fit very well my J30

Hello Mr Greg! I bought a Switchcraft 332a for my astatic J30 but it´s seems that it doesn´t fit very well. Is that normal? I mean, I have to screw it very very tightly so I don´t get any of that annoying buzzes when I grab the mic.
I´m sending a picture, it may help on the diagnose, and as you can see, there is a little "unscrewed"!!
Sorry for the bad english!
Thanks you!
Hi Elmocambo
That looks like a Hohner Roadhouse JT30. These aren't really JT30's at all. Hohner took the rough design and had it copied/manuafactured in China. Unfortunately the copy isn't very accurate. The connector is frequently a little too big to fit a standard Swithcraft or Amphenol connector - so the adapter doesn't fit, nor does a well made cable from one of the independent harmonica mic vendors like myself.
This can be repaired by removing the connector from the mic and running a 5/8-27 die over it. The connector can also be replaced entirely but that is a more involved job requiring some fabrication to do properly. When I do that job for my customers I frequently move the connector to the rear hole and the volume knob to the front - but that job costs more than the mic.
