Dear Mr. Hasenpusch,
have you heard of these things and if so, what are your thoughts about them?

S.H. Sir,
I'm familiar with the family tree but haven't been inside this particular branch...
Both BUSHMAN and NADY marketed mics of the "TORPEDO" design -Chinese copies of the ASTATIC JT-30 / BLUES BLASTER profile with venting cast into the body. The BUSHMAN and NADY models were LOW-Z dynamics, so I'd be interested to see what makes the HI-Z TAILFEATHER tick. Its response curve appears to be that of a dynamic as well... The native LOW-Z contemporary dynamic models could be plugged directly into a LOW-Z mixer / P.A. David Barrett liked their design for vocals and doing hand-articulated effects. I'm not fond of the positioning of the XLR output connector on any of them -and as with the BLUES BLASTER, being HI-Z means the XLR connector isn't required. Many of the early issues were troubled by pinched wiring and bad continuity. I've repaired a bunch.
I've used a couple of the BUSHMAN units to build very cool light fixtures...
