Tips?

Hi Winslow,
Any tips on the side tongue flutter? That being where you do a tongue switch between octaves really fast? I find conflicting information online. I know it takes practice but I'd prefer to use that time practicing it correctly. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Taylor
All the usual tongue blocking best practices apply:
-- tongue aimed straight forward, not to one side
-- tip of tongue tucked downward and top of tongue pressed forward onto the harp.
When you have your tongue placed so that you're isolating the hole in the right orner of your mouth, notice the sensation of the left edge of your tongue contacting the left corner of your mouth (where upper and lower lips meet).
Shifting so that the right corner closes and the left corner opens can be accomplished in one of two ways:
1) The tongue just slides to the right so that the same number of holes are covered, but with the leftmost hole exposed instead of the right most
or 2) The tongue does't change location, but sort of nudges to one side instead of the other, as if the emphasis changes in how you press it onto the holes.
