Tongue blocking

Hi David...I really would like to get the tongue blocking technique down pat, as it seems to be important. How long do I need to work on it?Also, with the tongue agility ex.1.1, where it has 4,1 or 5,2...is a matter of using the tip of the tongue to block the middle two holes?
Many thanks
Craig
Hello Craig.
You're right, it is the foundation of your harmonica playing.
You'll be working on techniques that involve tongue blocking for your entire life as a harmonica player. If you're speaking of when you'll be able to consistently hit single notes, it's commonly a couple of months.
That's right... slightly (very slightly) move your tongue back so that not as much tongue of your tongue is on the face of the harmonica as you center your tongue to perform the octave.
