Tongue blocking out of both sides
Hi Winslow, just finished watching your interview with Dave Barrett and found it very fascinating since I too
am a both sides tongue blocker. I can do that octave thing you were talking about where you bend the 2 hole draw down a whole step (bending with left side) and at same time bleed in (from right side of mouth) the 5 hole draw to produce an octave. I call it the 2 draw whole step bend octave. I've been looking for someone else who does it and there you are. Cool! Would love to talk harmonica with you sometime. I just moved to Bay Area about a month ago.
