hi David,

is the tip of tongue inside lower lip (between lip and teeth) at all times?

is that a question for 'shakes, slaps and pulls etc' for later in my video lessons?

Hello rperrier. The tongue is

Hello rperrier. The tongue is in a relaxed position, generally just sitting on top of the lower set of teeth, with the tip slightly forward of the teeth, just behind the lower lip. The tip does not dive down between the lower set of teeth and lip.

When you perform the shake your tongue position does not change.

Your tongue will move further back to play the chord associated with the slap and then go into this same position when you land for the single note.

Pulls are a different technique and best studied when you get to Tongue Block Study 4.
