Tongue Slap
Hi David
working on Feeling for the Bluse study song Level 3 . I remember you saying that the default way to play a single note is with a Slap, Is this noteated on the PDF with a circle above the note .
Thanks and best wishes
Tony
While slaps are a great way to enhance the body and fullness of a note, it's not the default for every note you play. As you learn to use slaps, you'll also learn to hear them when they occur in the playing of others. As you develop this ability, you'll learn to hear when a player is or is not using them, and you'll also develop a sense of when they're appropriaate and when they aren't. For a good example of when they mostly aren't listein to the long singing lines Little Water used in his song "Everybody Needs Somebody."

You might want to re-post this question on David's "Ask Instructor David Barrett" thread here in the Forum. While he keeps an eye on all of the threads, he's really good about getting answers back on that one.
But yes, the little circle signifies a slap.
Enjoy working on the song!
