So David, I know that you periodically provide advice on how to minimize problems associated with clogged reeds due to saliva issues. My question as a beginner (and I suspect other beginners are curious too) is as a professional, how often do you have to deal with this issue when you are performing or recording?

Hello mike82983. Something to keep in mind is that professional players commonly use different keys of harmonica for each song, so clogged harmonicas are not that much of an issue (we tap our harps after playing each song). If a player uses the same harmonica for three songs, it would be common for the harp to clog once in the third song and need to be tapped quickly to continue playing.
