Ultimatize!

Greg: I watched Dennis Gruenling's Zoom Q&A session with Kirk "Jellyroll" Johnson this past Saturday afternoon, and Kirk gave you props for "ultimatizing" one of his favorite Shure SM-type mics, making your mod to his one of his favorites for both live performance and recording amplified. "Gee," I thought: I may never be able to play like Kirk, but at least I can play into a mic that's every bit as good as his." While enjoying the SM57 you ultimatized for me, I got to wondering: Can you "ultimatize" anything else in my life? E.g., my aging body? My aging car? The issue with the aging plumbing in our bathroom? (One can always wish.)
