Walk With Me: 2 questions
Hey David,
1. On beat four of the first and second bars of the 4th chorus of "Walk With Me," Tongue Blocking Example #1, the notation says 3 blow, but on the recording, it's definitely a 2 blow. Am I correct that this should be renamed as 2+? (The notes are written correctly on the staff.)
2. I hear dotted eighth / sixteenth notes in some of what you're doing on the recording with the runs of eighth notes. I like it and prefer it to the rather dull straight eighth notes that would be the case if played as written. OK to play these runs as dotted eighth / sixteenth notes in the recording for the test for Level 1?
Thank you!

Hello Dr. Spoons. Answers below...
1. The note is 3+, not 2+
2. Good ear... swing is assumed when playing blues. When you read eighth notes, instead of playing them straight, play them with a swing feeling (two eighth notes turns into triplet quarter, followed by triplet eighth).
