What else to practice?

I was so happy to read your tip of the day today that memorizing whole songs is not so important. And just yesterday I was able to play Chorus 1-5 of Walk with Me entirely from memory. Ha!
While I am working through Walk with Me and Solo Study 1, what are some other things I could work on if I have extra practice time? I have been going back to some of the simple 1st position songs I learned with lip blocking and practicing them using TB'ing. Any other suggestions for keeping it interesting?
Glad to hear you're coming along. Right now your focus is on memorization. You'll notice I stated, "If you're at the skill level where what you improvise comes close to sounding as good as what the original player of the song did, then this is the way to go." It takes a couple of years to get this point (at the very least), so keep memorizing away, it's valuable for you right now. Doing the folk tunes in TB is a great idea. Watching the equipment videos are good. Watching the interviews are great. Watching the Performance Training lessons, though a little bit early, is not a bad use of your time.
