Won amps in divorce...
Not MY divorce. A good friend and former bandmate is going through a divorce and he is giving me his 1952 wide panel Fender Tweed DeLuxe Reverb and his 1961 Fender Pro (I think he didn't want his wife getting them). They are both in pretty good shape. He had a hand injury a few years ago and doesn't play any more, so he has no need for them. I'm driving up to New Hampshire this next weekend to pick them up, along with some other interesting stuff.
My question: Are either of these two amps good harp amps? I know the Tweed DeLuxe Reverb was considered the "Strat" amp, and my daughter is already nagging me to give it to her, but I want first crack at it (she can still use it of course).
Score! I have not personally played the Pro, but I have owned an early DeLuxe and it was a nice amp... I think that's the winner... but give'm both of try of course!
