WOW, I FIXED It- Gibson 1967 GA5-T Skylark
Hi all,
Well, it's everyones fault that I have the "Amp" Bug. ( just kidding)
For the last few days, I have been searching, and researching amps and information concerning those little buggers.
As I stated in my last posting, I explained I have a Pevey 212 classic duece. But the fact is, its just too dang large. Matter a fact, it's a monster.
So- I have been searching for the ultimate sounding small amp.
I really wish there was a confirmed, legit, official, amp, comparision chart/review somewhere. The only amp that I can tell by research is amazing is the harp gear double trouble. However, the cost is up there. So the search goes on.
Today, I found a Gibson 1967/66 Ga5- T skylark. It had no sound. So, I bought it cheap. To make a long story short, this amp fits on my motorcycle and travels well. When I got home, I found a wire that came loose. Soildered it up, and it WORKS!
Really, it sounds really good. Anyone know what its worth? Maybe it's another boat anchor like my Pevey Monster?
At this point my ear for tone is not realiable to me. Should I trade it? Keep it?
Thoughts? experiences?
FYI- Now I have the mic bug too... The Forth Worth guitar show is this saturday. Can't wait!
Blessings & Blues,

ps- what are your thougths on the PIG nose rechargable amp? I like the rechargable aspect-or is it the cool name?
Oh, I feel the delay peddle bug coming on also. :) looks like more research to come.
Roszell,
Congratulations on the cool score!
Keep it, don't sell it. It's not worth a fortune, but who cares?! Read my last posts concerning practicing with what you have.....
Nice to see that you plan to attend the Fort Worth Guitar Show. Guitar shows like that are great places to try out old amps. Research can only take you so far. Get out there and play all you can.
